“You're imperfect, and you're wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging.”

Emily Arth
Psychotherapist / Educator / Trauma Expert
Thank you for stopping to learn more about my story and my greater life purpose…helping others to heal the past and claim their person power. I am honored to serve you on this journey of self-discovery!
I was just like you. I felt insecure, lost, anxious and confused on the inside, while acting over productive, people pleasing and perfectionistic on the outside. My lifelong journey of transformational healing enabled me to pioneer a path to break through intergenerational cycles of dysfunction and unlock personal freedom.
This allowed me to align with my authenticity, to create a unique community of my own, to manifest abundant joy beyond what I imagined possible and to liberate myself from toxic patterns of the past. All the while, I was inventing new templates for living, loving and leading from a place of wholeness. Now I’m here to share these practical keys with you.
My entire life has been a playbook for my work, and my journey of development led me to deliver high level interventions to over-functioning, people pleasing, perfection seeking people who simply desire to live a life of authentic freedom and joy!
I am a professionally trained facilitator of several types of evidence-based modalities. To learn more about the specific frameworks I employ as part of my unique system of change, please click here.
I am an expert provider of shame-resiliency interventions, and I’m the only practitioner in Mid-Missouri certified in the work of Dr. Brené Brown. I am also a trained provider of the work of Marisa Peer, Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Christopher Germer.
I received bachelor of arts degrees in communication and sociology as well as a master degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I completed my professional training at Rain of Central Missouri assisting the HIV/AIDS population and at Missouri Cancer Associates while serving the terminally ill cancer population.
I worked four years providing individual and group therapy within a maximum security forensic mental health hospital treating individuals with chronic and severe mental illness before moving on to work with individuals around the world!
In addition to working with individuals and groups, I enjoy giving back through advocacy and education. I provide supervision to social work professionals and deliver content through online courses, podcasts, healing summits, professional conferences and community events.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time in nature, listening to music, painting, volunteering, cooking, sewing, dancing, and falling down metaphysical rabbit holes!
